The requirements for Import Licences and Licences to Operate were replaced by the requirements for a Safe Food for Canadians Licence under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), which came into force on January 15, 2019. Registration of Establishments is not required under SFCR. Registrations issued prior to January 15, 2019 will remain valid until they expire.
