Peru has aquatic animal health requirements for imports of live aquatic animals for all end uses.
Canada is currently in negotiation with Peru for export certification of live aquatic animals for all end uses (including live lobster for human consumption). For these specific commodities, until such time as a negotiated certificate is available, shipments exported without an aquatic animal health certificate may be detained in Peru.
